Il Mio is a family-owned Italian restaurant designed to evoke the cozy, welcoming feeling of being at nonna’s house: where bellies and hearts are full.
Clarendon Hills, Illinois
2021
La mia casa è la tua casa. Driven by the carefree feeling you get when you're visiting nonna's house; a place where you can sit back, relax, put your feet up, and help yourself to seconds (and thirds) of your favorite family recipes. Il Mio is inspired by Sunday family get-togethers with a focus on honest, fresh food. Food and family have been part of Il Mio’s foundation since the very beginning. The building was originally constructed as a family-owned grocery store, and today Il Mio proudly continues that tradition as a family-owned and operated establishment.

DISCOVERY
We surveyed the neighborhood restaurant scene and identified what was missing. Our goal was to appeal to a range of guests and create a memorable destination within the community.PRESSURE POINTS
To introduce a new dining concept and elevated level of hospitality to the Clarendon Hills area.DESIGNED TO SHINE
We created a restaurant that feels like home: comfortable, welcoming, and refined through chef curated food and drink (without the need to do the dishes). Designed to flex between large group gatherings and intimate date nights, the space centers around a bar that encourages camaraderie and conversation. The eclectic brand balances nostalgia with contemporary elements, inspired by the warmth of a nonna’s home: familiar and inviting.
